Should I Spray in the Winter Months?

The peak of bug season is now over, but there are still some bugs lingering. We have been asked often if your home should be sprayed during the winter months. This depends on your threshold of tolerating bugs. The winter months are a good time to continue to be sprayed so the bugs will have a harder time deep rooting themselves on your property for the next year. Those that can tolerate the low amount of bugs in the cooler months can opt out of our services and know that we will be calling monthly. If you can tolerate this low level of bugs all winter we do recommend that you start to treat your home no later than February or March to keep the bugs from getting out of hand. Whichever choice you decide, we will be there to meet your bug needs.

If you notice any bugs since we last saw you, we would like to know so we can best take care of ALL your bugs. Just like a doctor can better heal you when he knows all of the symptoms, we can eliminate your bugs better. As part of our service, we do look for signs of pests, nests, and trouble spots but knowing what specific bugs you’ve seen will help us to know what plan of action to take to treat your property. It would help if you could tell us what bugs you’ve seen when we call to set an appointment or when Andrew comes to spray. We hope that we can work together and make your home bug free.
After it rains, the chemical we use on your home is still effective? We use chemical that binds with the soil so it can’t be washed away easily. Some chemical will still flow with the rain water and get deep into areas where our chemical normally doesn’t reach for a better bug kill.
